We're a city in a forest
To maintain our wonderful canopy coverage in Kansas City, we need to replant as trees are removed from our urban forest. Consider the resources below and do your part to ensure the benefits of trees are available for future generations.
Plant Trees in Kansas City
Heartland Tree Alliance is partnered with Kansas City to plant street trees. You and your neighbors sign up, they call before they dig and plant for you, you water it for at least two years.
Energy Saving Trees
Twice a year, Bridging the Gap partners with Evergy and Arbor Day Foundation to offer free energy-saving trees to KCMO residents. Use their website to determine where to plant your trees for maximum energy savings.
Robert Whitman spearheaded a study to determine the best trees for the Kansas City region. Check out the list and shop for trees at local nurseries like Soil Service, Suburban Lawn & Garden and KAT Wholesale Outdoor.
